The analytical skills taught in JKC are divided into 3 parts for 100 hrs.

  I.Reasoning------------------------------20hrs

  II.Aptitude  -----------------------------40hrs

  III.IPG(Infosys Project Genesis)-----40hrs

 I.              Reasoning  (20 hrs.)

Types of reasoning;

(i)Analytical

Analytical reasoning:

Analogy: Introduction, Objectives, Kinds of relationships, Completing the analogy pair, simple analogy, choosing the analogy pair, Explanation of double analogy, detecting of analogies, number analogies, alphabet analogy(3hr).

Examples.

Classification: Introduction, Objectives, choosing the Odd word, choosing the Odd pair of words, choosing the Odd Numeral.

Series Completion: Introduction, Objectives, Number series, Alphabet series, Letter series, Examples & exercise. 3hrs

Logical reasoning:  Introduction, Objectives, definition of Logic, Syllogism, examples with single and more than two conclusions . 3hrs

Relationships: Types of relationships, deciphering jumbled up descriptions,

 Coded relationships, Examples.  2hrs

Coding & Decoding: Definition of code and Decode, Letter coding, Number coding, Number to Letter coding, Matrix coding. 3hrs

Odd Man Out: Different types of Odd series, finding of odd man in number series, finding out of odd man in letter series, finding out of odd man in analogy series.1hrs

Circular Arrangement: Types of seating arrangement, advantage of circular arrangement, problems with examples.1hrs

Matrix Problems: Finding the relationships in rows & columns, finding the common rule and then finding the Odd man out, filling up of pictures. 1hrs

Weekly tests will be conducted for 3hrs(1+1+1) in between the pattern.

II.  Aptitude  (40hrs)Numbers: Introduction to Number system, decimal and binary system, Octal, divisibility theory, Tests of divisibility, multiplication by shortcut methods, Basic formulae, division Algorithm or Euclidean algorithm Progressions( Arithmetic & Geometric).examples.2hrs.

H.C.F. & L.C.M. of Numbers: Factors and Multiples, factorization Method, division Method, Finding the G.C.M. of more than two numbers, L.C.m., factorization method of finding L.C.M., common division Method, product of two numbers= product of their H.C.F. & L.c.M.,Co-Primes, comparison of fractions.  2hrs.

Averages: Introduction to mean, Arithmetic mean, application of arithmetic Mean, Data sufficiency type questions. 2hrs.

Problems on Ages: Basic concepts, solved examples, exercise questions.2hrs                                          Profit & Loss: Fundamental formulae, shortcut methods, exercise problems. Examples.

Ratio & Proportions: Definition of ratio, Proportion, comparisons of ratios, compound ratio, variation.2hrs

Percentages: Definition, concept of percentage, results on populResults on depreciation, exercise and practice problems  2hrs.

Surds and Indices: Definition of Indices, Laws of Indices, surdssurds, Important formulae to solve the problems, examples and practiceProblems    1hrs.

Partnership: Introduction about working with group, definition of partnership, introduction to working and sleeping partners in partnership, Examples and exercise problems   2hrs.

Time and work: Introduction to time and work, basic formulae, shortcut methods, working with groups and individual, examples for practice.   2hrs

Time and Distance: Basic theory, definitions of distance covered, time taken, average speed, relative speed, moving objectives with same and different directions, examples and practice problems. 2hrs.

Height and Distances: Basics of trigonometry, angles, triangles, trigonometrically identities, angles of elevation, angle of depression, examples and practice sessions.    2hrs.

Problems on Trains: Definition of speed, directions, average speed,Relative speed, moving objects with same and opposite directions, examples and practice session.    1hrs.

Boats and streams: Basic concepts of Upstream, downstream, speed in still water, rate of stream, examples and practice session.   1hrs.

Allegations and Mixtures: Definition of allegation, mean price, rule of allegation, cheaper quantity, quantity of dearer, operations done on container(in tins removing or adding the content), examples.     1hrs.

Probabilities: Basic concepts of permutations, combinations, selections, probabilities with examples.  2hrs.

Simple and compound Interest: Definition of principal, interest, simple facts and shortcut methods and discount definition, and formulae of discounts( single and successive discounts), problems with different examples and exercise to be done.   3hrs.

Area, Volumes and surface area: Basic concepts of cube, cuboids, cylinder, cone, sphere, with detailed pictures and examples and formulae existed on topics, practice problems, and exercise.  4hrs        Calendar: concepts of odd days, leap year, centaury, odd year, with examples and practice session.    1hrs.

Clocks: concepts of clocks, angles between hands, directions in clocks, too fast and too slow in current times.  1hrs

Weekly tests and assessments will be allotted for 3hrs(1+1+1) in the middle of the course and at the end of the session.

III.Analytical skills for INFOSYS PROJECT GENESIS(IPG)

To develop the thinking ability and creativity to solve the problem efficiently. (Total 40hrs of training).

I.Methods of creativity: Evolution, synthesis, revolution, reapplication, changing direction, case study for 1hrs.(3+1)hrs.
